Merry Christmas! Today has involved giving and getting lots of presents, cooking and eating lots of food, opening and drinking lots of booze and generally having lots of fun. We had a small setback when the turkey wasn’t cooked when everything else was ready, but that was more than made up for by the thrill of hearing myself on Radio Scotland’s Days Like These, especially with an outro of Mack the Knife. I’m currently skulking upstairs to avoid Eastenders (ah, skulking upstairs in my old bedroom, and suddenly I’m thirteen again). Once it’s finished I’m hoping to instigate a game of Balderdash, in which I aspire to do better than my woeful placing of fourth in last night’s Scrabble debacle. Oh, and wasn’t Dr Who brilliant? It got a spontaneous round of applause from all of us here at Roberts HQ.
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
